Threshold — Current Notes

Function

Threshold is experience before awareness.

It should build motifs, listener conditioning, ritual, habit, external pressure, ordinary joy, and early cracks in inherited certainty.

It should not become too philosophical too early.

Current Track 1

**First Comes Experience**

Function:

• gateway
• permission piece
• invitation
• primer, not payoff
• experience first, not explanation first
• lets listeners enter as witnesses or fully submerge into the arc

Voice-development mirror

Fragments / Threshold can also function as the stage of finding the user's voice.

This mirrors the current vocal development arc:

• Fragments / Threshold = finding voice
• Witness = becoming comfortable and trying new things
• Fragile World = confidence, reinforcement, fuller ownership

This personal vocal growth can mirror the album arc without becoming the whole meaning of the project.

Important candidate placements

**Define Yourself** and **Empathy** are late Threshold candidates, not necessarily Witness songs. They lean toward **When We Fall** because they are about beginning self-questioning before full adult self-awareness: early recognition of others' inner lives, external labels, inherited roles, and the first pressure to ask who the self is.

**Coffee my Love** can technically fit both Fragments and Threshold, but its stronger structural placement is Threshold because it inhabits ritual habit without thought: small joy before awareness, comfort before reflection, body waking before meaning is named. Keep it sincerely fun. Do not over-darken it.
